Crafted in Japan from a single sheet of steel, the Toyo Steel Storage Box features a flat lid and seamless, edge-free construction for safe handling. Its stackable design—with interlocking imprints—makes it both practical and space-efficient. Perfect for storing art supplies, cosmetics, stationery, tea, or travel documents. While many of us now use Toyo Steel Toolboxes in our homes and proudly display them, they were originally designed for use in workshops, garages, and industrial environments. As a result, they are painted rather than powder coated and do not have a clear protective topcoat. Please note that small imperfections in the paint finish may fall within Toyo's quality control tolerances, and that over time, chips, scratches, and signs of wear can develop with regular use. These marks are part of the toolbox's inherent character, and we like to think of it as patina.
